This morning’s Chamber breakfast was a fantastic success, with a record turnout to meet our local MP, James MacCleary.
James shared insights into his experience of running his own small business, and his passion for supporting business growth. He was eager to take questions from attendees, leading to lively discussions on both local and national issues.
Topics ranged from Talland Parade, Exceat Bridge, and local medical provision, to wider concerns like employment costs, student loans, taxation, the voting age, and the challenges facing key workers in the NHS, education, and public services.
James generously stayed over 45 minutes beyond the scheduled time to ensure everyone had the chance to speak.
