Seaford Head School is an outstanding learning environment for students, where all members of the community are achieving excellence together. We believe that all students should enjoy and excel through their learning and be challenged to achieve to their full potential. Our dedicated and committed team of staff ensure that students in every year group from Year 7 through to Year 13 enjoy access to outstanding teaching and are supported to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.
Seaford Head School -preparing for a school reunion celebration to remember!
Governors and staff at Seaford Head are hosting a party to celebrate the school’s 80th anniversary. The ticketed event will be an opportunity for ex-students and staff to come together to remember the old school days as well as celebrate the success that the school has enjoyed in recent times, with the reopening of the sixth form and its outstanding ofsted inspection judgment. Bob Ellis, the school’s Headteacher said, “We would love to see lots of ex-students and staff come and join us to catch up with former classmates and colleagues to share some happy memories as well as contribute to our vision for the school in the future. As the only secondary school in the town, we enjoy a privileged position in the local community and we are looking forward to welcoming friends from the past and present into the school.”
The 80th anniversary celebration party will be held at Seaford Head School, Arundel Road, Seaford on Friday 26th April at 7pm. Tickets cost £5 and include a buffet and first drink free. There will be a bar, live music and the chance to look back at some old photos and memorabilia from the school’s history. Some ex-students have already agreed to run the cocktail bar and will be serving up special cocktails including the ‘Seaford Breeze’ and the ‘Seaford Head banger’!
Tickets can be purchased now from the school reception on both the Arundel Road and Steyne Road sites. Tickets are also available with a small booking fee online at http://www.wegottickets.com/event/464162
The school will also be using the event to launch its new alumni network in collaboration with ‘Future First’: an organisation that aims to have all state schools using their alumni to inspire future generations of students. Rob Handy, Assistant head teacher for Careers Education at Seaford Head, said, “Research shows that over half of students – particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds – don’t know anybody in a job that they would like to do. We know that students leave Seaford Head School to go off and do amazing things and we’d love for our students to hear their stories and be inspired.” Ex-students, staff and friends of the school are invited to become an alumni member and keep in touch with the school.
If you would like to join the alumni and become an ‘Old Seafordian’ you can sign up at
